Yoga in the Alpine is offering the month long Ashtanga intensive again this August, in Whitehorse, Yukon. It is a fabulous opportunity for any student of yoga. Iain's utter devotion to asana, pranayama, philosophy & the life of yoga itself is purely inspiring. He has trained with Richard Freeman and travels to practice with Rolf & Marci in Goa annually; he's working on the 4th series, &; his ability to weave philosophy into asana is masterful. My experience in the intensive last year moved me every day, through postures, clearly defined instruction for effective alignment, development of a personal pranayama practice & the integration of Buddha's teachings & yoga philosophy. All to be experienced with a beautiful group of people, as well. I highly recommend it to anyone wishing to deepen their understanding of themselves & their experience of yoga through compassion, humility, & the evidently well-practiced expertise of Iain. Take advantage of August in the Yukon, as well, between morning & afternoon/evening sessions. It's a beautiful time of year to experience Canada's north - walk, bike, paddle, hike, all from downtown. Quality YogaNEW by: Anonymous
Yoga in the Alpine has been a reliable, quality yoga presence in the Whitehorse community since 2004. Iain is a good and compassionate teacher, obviously teaching from an understanding gained from a long-term, dedicated and very advanced (4th series) practice of his own, and all the ups and downs he's experienced along the way. I love his talks about Ashtanga yoga, the Yoga Sutras, and the teachings of the Buddha. The One-Month Intensive last year was wonderful, bookending my days in yoga and the awareness of self that comes from that immersion, for an entire month. The physical, mental and spiritual benefits were tangible for months afterwards.

Great instruction by: Jodee
I attended a weekend workshop with Iain Grysak and it was great. I look forward to returning for a week or more of Mysore practice. It shows that Iain shares knowledge from a dedicated personal Ashtanga practice. Wonderful ideas and concepts to develop your own practice.
